I'm Liz, a California native who found her way to the South and is discovering joy in a soft cat's purr, a radiant moon, and a cup of tea with a good friend.
I love learning—it's both my passion and my weakness. I've been on a lifelong journey of self-care, seeking knowledge, and self-actualization for 40 years. I've studied, workshopped, and read endlessly. But only in the past five years did I make my biggest breakthroughs—when I shifted from intellectual knowledge to deep, intentional practice. That's where the gold lies: turning insight into action.
I've been self-employed since the early 2000s, exploring diverse fields from special effects makeup and costumes to sales and office life. Now, as a specialist in Thai massage, cupping, and sound therapy, I help others embrace self-care as essential, not indulgent—because true transformation begins with self-compassion and reaches every layer of body, mind, and spirit.
Freedom, authenticity, and compassion are my life's work. It's what I seek daily and continue to learn how to embody. Easier said than done, but it's my goal: to be fully authentic, embracing my wildest, weirdest, messy, crazy self—warts and all. To be free from suffering and free to be who I am, just as I am right now. I ask the same of you and strive to offer you the space to be your fully authentic, wonderfully wild, beautifully weird self too.
When I’m not supporting others on their wellness journey, you'll find me foraging for wild edibles, camping in state parks, or paddling local waterways—always seeking moments of presence and joy.
Let's break free together this year and revel in our gloriously messy, authentic selves.
What are your three words for 2025?
Mine are Adaptability, Courage, and Joy
Liz Kriz specializes in Eastern bodywork, particularly Thai massage, cupping, and reflexology. Her quest for knowledge has taken her from DC to Portland, Canada, London, and Thailand, where she continually deepens her understanding of traditional medical theories.
Her journey began with yoga – she was in her first class at age three! After experiencing Thai massage as a client, she was captivated by its effectiveness and pursued her license. This sparked a deeper curiosity that led her across continents to study Thai Medical Theory under various masters.
Today, Liz teaches a comprehensive range of modalities: Thai massage (from foundations to advanced), Thai Medical theory, spirit medicine, herbal medicine, and various cupping techniques. Her gift lies in making complex traditional practices accessible and meaningful for modern students.
“Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing, there is a field. I’ll meet you there.
When the soul lies down in that grass, the world is too full to talk about.
Ideas, language, even the phrase ‘each other’ doesn’t make any sense.
— Rumi
